'Many Hands' is the product of Holliston High School senior Akshara Shankar's passionate interest in serving the community. She initiated and developed this project and website as a freshman with the guidance of mentors at the MIT Leadership Training Institute. Akshara's original idea was to create an app that would send out alerts about specific items required by food pantries so potential donors can have an easy to refer list while they go shopping. This website is the first step to creating an app to assess the potential of the project. Akshara would be happy to work with people with app development experience to take this project further, a goal she plans to work toward in the coming months.
