Connecting Donations to Those in Need
I received a call on April 20, 2020 morning from a wonderful woman, Mrs. Sheri Tagliaferri, in Medway. She had recently lost her mom to cancer. However, even in such sorrow, her first thought was to help others. She had several cans of clam chowder (the only food her mom could eat) as well as adult women's Depends brand underwear that she wished to donate. She was not sure how to reach out to pantries. I contacted several food pantries and received requests from four of them. After Mrs. Tagliaferri dropped them off at my house (on my driveway given the social distancing norms), I drove to Holliston Food Pantry, A Place To Turn in Natick, Medway Food Pantry and the Mansfield's Our Daily Food Pantry to drop the items. Thank you Mrs. Tagliaferri.
